Because talking helps, and being heard matters
With our world changing daily because of the ongoing Coronavirus CORVID-19 pandemic, the impact of social distancing, health worries, survival fears, and financial concerns can leave us feeling overwhelmed by life, alone, anxious and full of uncertainty. Talking to a trained professional can help to process these emotions and make them feel more manageable. As the saying goes, talking helps.
I'm Dawn Boultwood, a BACP-registered counsellor offering online and telephone sessions from my office in Ewell Village, Epsom. I have worked with people who have come to therapy for many different reasons including anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, loneliness, unwanted or overwhelming thoughts and fears, bereavement, fertility problems, relationship problems, work-related issues, accident/illness, or difficulty coping with a present or past event.
If you feel counselling may be beneficial to you, require any further information, or would like to make an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sometimes life's difficulties / challenges can be overwhelming, all can seem hopeless, and we can feel anxious, stressed, alone, lost and depressed. Counselling gives us an opportunity to work alongside a trained professional who can help us to put our worries and fears into perspective, so that we can feel better able to cope and in more control of our life.
How I work
As a person-centred counsellor I believe that the quality of the therapeutic alliance is key to building a healing relationship. As such, I work to build trust, mutual respect and the desire to work in partnership during my sessions, supporting, respecting and valuing my clients as I do so. I do this in a caring, comfortable, confidential and non-judgemental safe setting.
