Hi, I'm Dawn Boultwood, a BACP-registered counsellor, offering online face-to-face sessions via Zoom, Skype and FaceTime. Welcome to my website.
Through life’s tough times you might feel that you are facing things alone, or that you need a different kind of support to that which your family/friends can provide. As a person-centred counsellor I can offer you an opportunity to speak with a trained professional who is outside of your situation and explore what is really going on for you. This can help you to process difficult thoughts/feelings, and re-evaluate your concerns making life feel easier and more manageable. As the saying goes, talking helps!
I have worked with people who have come to counselling for many different reasons*. These include: anxiety, panic attacks/panic disorder, stress, depression, low mood/sadness, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, unwanted thoughts or fears, bereavement, fertility problems, relationship problems, family issues, work-related issues, accident/illness, and difficulty coping with a past event.
Online appointments offer a greater range of session times, and more flexibility with the frequency and regularity of sessions. It also allows me to reach those clients who do not feel able to come to my therapy room. I currently have a range of appointment times available.

Sometimes life's difficulties / challenges can be overwhelming, all can seem hopeless, and we can feel anxious, stressed, alone, lost and depressed. Counselling gives us an opportunity to work alongside a trained professional who can help us to put our worries and fears into perspective, so that we can feel better able to cope and in more control of our life.
How I work
I believe that the quality of the client-counsellor relationship is key to healing. As such, I work together with my clients to build trust, mutual respect and the desire to work in partnership during our sessions. I do this in a caring, supportive, respectful and non-judgemental manner, to help my clients feel valued, reassured, and help them feel safe and comfortable.
